Andreas Weckenbrock

Andreas Weckenbrock is an independent consultant for artists, brands & music based in Berlin. Andreas was born in 1986 in the Grafschaft (County of) Bentheim. After graduating from high school, he studied business and economics at the Ruhr-University Bochum. In this time he gained first practical experience in the fields of music distribution, marketing & promotion, social media and live entertainment. In 2011 he graduated as Diplom-Ökonom (equivalent to Master’s degree) and was awarded with the Globalpark Science Award. The same year he started at Warner Music in Hamburg, initially as a Manager in digital marketing, later as a Brand Manager for international repertoire. In 2014 he was a Lecturer for online marketing at Deutsche Pop. In 2016 Andreas joined Berlin-based 360° music agency Guesstimate as Head of Recorded Entertainment & Publishing and later as Director Music being responsible for the business divisions Recorded Music, Publishing and Artist & Promotion Services. In 2022 he started his own business working as an independent consultant in the music industry. Within the last 13+ years Andreas has worked for and with numerous national and international artists from Rock, Pop, Indie/Alternative, Urban, Dance and Electronic music like Alle Farben, Anna Naklab, Beatsteaks, Biffy Clyro, Bruno Mars, Deepend, Deftones, Distur- bed, Green Day, Keanu Silva, Kush Kush, Linkin Park, Muse, Oh My Girl, Phoenix, Portugal.The Man, sanah, Twenty One Pilots, twocolors and YouNotUs. Together with his teams he is responsible for more than 50 Gold, Platinum and Diamond awards all across Europe. In addition to the full-cycle music management, Andreas is specialized in the development of holistic and coherent artist brand strategies as one of the most fundamental elements of a successful artist career. Furthermore he provides consultation to international artists in terms of international exploitation of their music with a focus on the German market. Andreas has built an extensive network in the international music and entertainment industry and in the German media landscape. He has substantial experience in international and intercultural cooperation especially with partners in and from the United States, the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Russia, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Latin America and South Africa.
