How can music technologies influence your work as an artist, and how can you influence technologies to develop your style of music and your musical performance?

On the eve of Music Tech Fest we bring together some of the musicians, hackers and tech developers in town for MTF for a conversation on how and why they use, engage with, make or hack music technologies in their respective fields. We want to talk about why and how music technology matters for musicians, how to use, adapt and make music technology for collaboration, for sound creation, or for performance, and many other uses. This event is not only for music tech enthusiasts, but also for musicians who have not reflected so much about the technologies they are using to make music. A flute and a violin are also music technologies after all.

Music Tech Fest is a laboratory for ideas in music, inviting artists along with scientists, makers, hackers, designers, creative developers and genius inventors. MTF Berlin takes place 27-30 May at Funkhaus. (http://www.ticketbase.com/events/mtfberlin)
